Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need to bring my own sewing machine to class?
    While I do have a few sewing machines available for you to use, it is beneficial for you to bring your own machine. This will allow for me to teach you specifically about your machine and for you to become comfortable using it. If you need to use one of my machines, please let me know ASAP so that I can have one available for you to use.
  • What happens if I need to miss or need to reschedule a lesson?
    I understand that life happens and plans need to change. Please let me know if you will miss a lesson and we will get a make-up time scheduled for you. Please note that I usually take a 1-3 week break in between 6 weeks sessions. However when I return from those breaks, we will continue any make up lessons still needed.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
    I understand that life happens and plans may need to change. Please send me a message as soon as you realize you may need to cancel or change your class. Please read below carefully about refund policy: A. I understand life happens and schedules change, please contact me if you have paid for your 6 week session of classes and need to reschedule a start date or request a refund. When a refund is requested before the first lesson a $50 fee is held back from your refund. No refunds are given after you complete your first of six lessons. B. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. I'm very flexible and willing to work with you to get your classes completed that you have registered for.
  • What should I bring to my sewing class?
    Your supply list for the class/classes you register for will be emailed upon registration. The following are a great start to your sewing journey and will always be used in class. fabric scissors pins (for pinning fabric and patterns) seam ripper washable fabric pen sewing machine/sewing machine manual/sewing machine accessories that come with your machine fabric scissors spool of All Purpose sewing thread any fabrics or patterns needed for your projects (this will be discussed in class
  • What projects will I complete in my class and how do I receive my supply list?
    Each class will offer a variety of small projects. With the projects, you will learn new skills and build upon those skills to complete more advanced projects. We will discuss your interests and projects to be worked on throughout your 6 week session.
